Enjoying the Outside!

I really have enjoyed this time here in Alaska so far and I know the boys have. As you can see, we live in a tough neighborhood with the local motorcycle gang! :) I'm so glad that the boys have made friends and it's just so fun to watch them play. Although sometimes I feel like more of a referee than anything else! They are still working on the popsicles that are in the freezer. I'm hoping they're gone before the snow comes! I know I could be taking more advantage of the warm weather and go explore the area, but who can deny these little guys the fun of just riding around and playing with their friends.

It really does amaze me every day how fast they are growing up!

The snow is coming! I'll keep you all posted on the snow as it creeps it's way down the mountain and into my neighborhood!

Busy Boy Land

So I have come to the conclusion that my boys are most definately very busy! Just incase you didn't know. We have been trying to do things that keep them moving and burning energy, because they definately have a lot of it! Honestly, I am exhausted at the end of the day but I don't know that I would have it any other way! Here are some pictures of our resent adventures in "BUSY BOY LAND"!

Just another day!

So the boys and I have been trying to keep as busy as possible. Mostly playing outside on our street. Since we live right smack dab in the middle of a culdesac it is really just a wonderful kid friendly place to play. It's not unusual to have at least 7 kids playing in the circle! And if there are kids playing outside then someone is bound to ask for popsicles for everyone! Heaven forbid you don't have them on hand. But don't worry, if you don't there is almost always another parent that has stocked up! Thank God we bought that freezer before Ryan left!

I find myself looking at old pictures (not really that old) from when Declan was still teeny tiny! It just so amazes me how fast they grow. It has been my experience lately that every time I go grocery shopping I have an older woman tell me "Enjoy this time, it goes by so fast! Before you know it they will be off having their own families." Some days I just want them to be grown and not be crying because they don't get their way or freaking out because he only wants to wear his "Super Hero" shirt for the 4th day in a row. But if I really stop to think about it, I would keep them this age forever! They are so full of curiosity and energy! They have such a love for life and all the adventures it holds. I love watching them play in the dirt or go down our driveway on their bikes! The pure joy in their faces is priceless. I know I have been truly blessed! Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for the beautiful privilege of raising such amazing little guys!

Fun at Hatcher Pass

So today was one of those beautiful days in Alaska where you just want to be outside! We met up with my friend Sarah and her family and we all headed up to Hatcher Pass. It is just the most amazing place and I will most definately go back. The boys and Sarah's kids all had such a wonderful time playing in the freezing cold water! We even found a few blueberries! My boys are totally turning into true Alaskan boys!

I also had a chance to play with our nice camera and these are a few of the other photo. I still have a lot to learn but it's still fun!
